As your community foundation, we create a multiplier effect.

We combine the generosity of individuals, families, and businesses with the needs of our nonprofits and the vision of our community. Together, we power Broomfield’s potential through three core investments:

01

Grantmaking

Annual grant cycles fund human services, education, senior, arts and civic programs that serve Broomfield residents.

02

Charitable Funds

We professionally steward donor advised, scholarship, field of interest and endowment funds that turn generosity into lasting change.

03

Education Investments

Scholarships and Youth Opportunity Awards empower local students to pursue their goals and thrive.

The TerHar Legacy

One family. One vision. A lasting legacy.

More than 25 years ago, Jack TerHar Jr.’s $100,000 challenge gift inspired our community to establish the Legacy Fund Endowment with a vision of reaching $1 million. Today, the Legacy Fund has grown to more than $2 million.

Now the TerHar family has issued a new challenge: help grow the Legacy Fund to $3 million by December 2030, with $50,000 in matching gifts each year.
