How we support nonprofits
As your community foundation, we connect the generosity of donors and the power of charitable giving with the impact of community grantmaking and investments to strengthen nonprofits and address critical issues, together.
Real impact through financial support
An important milestone in 2025
Because of donors, volunteers, and community partners like you, the Foundation awarded $1,378,311 in scholarships and grants in 2025, supporting neighbors across our community through our five core pillars: human services, education, seniors, arts, and civic support—plus housing stability, urgent needs, scholarships, youth-led grantmaking, and emerging initiatives.

The Seal of Excellence
Through our thorough grantmaking evaluation process, grantees can take pride in their accomplishments. To celebrate their success, the Foundation offers the “Seal of Excellence” badge, which nonprofits are encouraged to display on their websites and in marketing materials. These badges highlight their substantial operations and commitment to making a meaningful impact in the community.
Investing in arts and civics
At BCF, we believe that a vibrant, connected community is strengthened through access to the arts, cultural understanding, and civic engagement. That’s why we’re proud to announce our latest grant awards under the Arts & Civics pillar—made possible thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters like you.
The 2025 grant recipients reflect the diverse ways creativity, heritage, and public service come to life in Broomfield. From live performance and arts education to cultural exchange and civic dialogue, these organizations are enriching lives and creating lasting impact. Their work connects people across generations, cultures, and experiences—one performance, program, or conversation at a time.
We’re honored to support their missions and extend our heartfelt thanks to the donors and fundholders who make this possible. Together, we’re investing in the soul of our community.

Community volunteers needed
Become a grant reviewer
Grant funding is awarded through a thoughtful, structured process that ensures accountability and impact. Volunteer reviewers use a clearly defined scoring rubric to assess each application, which helps ensure funding decisions are fair, strategic, and focused on the most pressing local needs. Most of the review work can be done remotely, and the process culminates in a group meeting where scores are discussed and final funding recommendations are made collaboratively.
Serving as a reviewer offers a unique window into the heart of our community—the challenges local families face, and the incredible work nonprofits do to meet those needs. Volunteers also build new connections and friendships with fellow reviewers who share a passion for service.
