Cultivate's Carry-Out Grocery Caravan Supports Seniors

An important BCF grantee, Cultivate, supports older adults with no-cost grocery shopping and delivery, medical transportation, companion phone calls, and minor home/safety repairs.

Through BCF support, Cultivate exceeded its 2025 program goals by midsummer:

  • Goal: 43 clients, 359 services
  • Actual (through July): 64 clients, 566 services

What makes Cultivate special? Volunteers don’t just drop off groceries—they check in, build relationships, and sometimes even help unpack bags while sharing conversation. Drivers are matched to consistent routes, creating meaningful connections that reduce isolation.

When additional needs arise—like lawn care or sidewalk shoveling—clients are referred to the City & County of Broomfield’s Snow Pals and Lawn Pals volunteer programs.
